I honestly think kale chips are one of my favorite food! I have no self control with them… I eat them all! Thankfully… I know they are good for me, so I do not really mind eating the whole batch!
I have done a post on kale chips before, but here are some more kale chips variations!
“Sour Cream and Onion”
Sauce:
- 2 Tabls tahini (could sub cashew or macadamia butter)
- 3 Tabls lemon juice
- 1 Talbs maple syrup
- 1/2 teasp onion granules
- 1/2 teasp garlic granules
- 2 Tabls nutritional yeast
- 1 teasp tamari
- water to thin
Massage into about 6 cups of washed and destemmed kale. Dehydrate or bake at 300 F for about 30 minutes or until crispy. When baking kale chips I prefer the low and slow method. I know that some people bake them at much higher temperatures, but I find that the kale chips end up tasting a bit charred. Dehydrating them is definitely the best way to go…
Sweet and Spicy Chili
Sauce:
- 2 Tabls almond butter
- 1 teas balsamic vinegar
- 1 Tabls maple syrup
- 1 teas chili powder
- red pepper flakes to taste (optional)
- 1/2 teas onion granules
- 1/2 teas garlic granules
- 1 teas tamari (optional)
- water to thin
Massage into about 6 cups of washed and destemmed kale. Dehydrate or bake at 300F for about 30 minutes or until crispy.
I made my pumpkin pie again, but this time in a pie dish rather than individual tarts… Pumpkin pie is a fav around here and I love the gingerbread spiced crust!
